The search for answers to these questions encouraged the Igarapé Institute to systematize, analyze and gather the existing knowledge on Brazil’s cybersecurity governance landscape.
The Brazilian Cybersecurity Portal gathers analyzes, research, norms and other documents on national cybersecurity. Thus, it intends to strengthen the skills for a collective action by the civil society, the academic community, the public authorities and the private sector in order to build a more secure, cooperative, resilient and sustainable digital environment.

It aims to enhance the potential for collective action of civil society, the academic community, public authorities and the private sector to build a more secure, cooperative, resilient and sustainable digital environment.
The Igarapé Institute is an independent think and do tank focused on public, digital and climate security areas and its consequences for democracy. Its objective is to propose solutions and partnerships for facing global challenges through research, new technologies, communication and advocacy on public policies The Institute works with governments, the private sector and civil society to design data-based solutions. We received an award as the best Human Rights NGO in 2018 and the best think tank on social policy by Prospect Magazine in 2019.
The Digital Security Programme is dedicated to developing interdisciplinary evidence-based research, fostering cross-sector dialogues and promoting confidence-building and awareness for advancing digital policies. We work continuously with different dimensions of security and development, which includes: Cyber Security, Cyber Crime, Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, Data Protection, Smart Cities and the social impacts of digital technologies. We build platforms, think critically about the social impacts of emerging technologies and develop strategies to curb challenges to digital rights in the context of everyday implementation of these technologies.
